	I bought 2 of the Bear Grylls knives for my two sons who are both in college in anticipation of a camping trip that did not materialize due to conflicting schedules. The quality of the knife is very good, especially for the price. The fire stick, and built in sharpener are also a nice feature. My boys were elated when I surprised them with the knives and we plan to put them to good use at winter break.

	checks all the boxes
	This knife has all the elements I look for in a "necessaries knife." Nice comfort and balance, extremely versatile, back of the blade works well with a fire starter (also has one incorporated into the sheath), and it is big enough to skin a deer and not too big for a rodent.

	Great knife, only 1 issue
	I love the knife! It feels so sturdy and strong and the grip could simply be referred to as "Confidence inspiring". Perfect fit and great balance! The velcro that holds the handle is a touch short or something. I like to be able to one hand my knife back into the sheath and fasten it, but the velcro fights me and I have to reach around with the other hand. May just need to practice more with it. That notch for fire starting is an awesome idea!

	This is an excellent value in a general-purpose emergency knife. I'm not going to wear it, but it will always be in the bottom of the daypack with the other basic survival gear like the water purifier.

	This is my first review. So far I can't give definate decision. I attempted a Gerber for a new pack tool. I will see what they say or replace tomorrow. Ive got a filling I should have stuck with Leatherman and cold steel. as for now the Ultimate Knife is a Ultimate Disappointment.

	I got my Gerber Bear knife. Many people have said it is "less than perfect" but I love it. Blade is great quality, handle is very comforatable. The overall knife has a great feel and toughness to it. The sheath is great, high quality. I see no problems, just a great Gerber quality knife.

	Great knife!
	I bought one of these knives as a gift to my son for his 14th birthday. Together, he and I took it out into the jungle and put it to the test. I was particularly impressed by the fact that it's a tough knife (he pounded the blade with a large rock to split wood into tinder) & my son had very little problem getting a fire started (his very first time doing so) with the fire starter that comes on the sheath. It held a pretty good edge too!

	i bought this knife 6 months ago and since then its been on several out door trips where me and my friends have beaten this knife good so far we managed to break the fire starter and ive noticed on the sheath where the knife locks in the sheath it wears out and eventually the sheath lock doesnt lock the knife in place anymore as for the knife is a extremely good knife still suprises me that it isnt bent or dull its a very good knife and im a proud owner of it

	Best damn knife!!!
	Im 25 yrs. old and a huge Bear Grylls fan. When I seen the knife for sale I had to get one. I recieved mine as a gift for my birthday. The fire starter works really well. The blade is super strong and very sharp. The whistle is pretty sweet as well as the pommel. Everything fits together in the sheath(which is real nice). It also has a survival booklet and air to land signals stitched on the back of the sheath. I would recommend this knife to anyone looking for real knife.

	Good Multipurpose tool
	I was reluctant to buy this knife because of the branding. Didn't want to look like a 'Gun Store Commando' In reality the knife is really good. A great blade that cuts well. The grip is comfortable and the heel is solid. The flint works well and is well designed. The whistle gets in the way a bit on the handle, so I just took it off and moved it to my backpack strap. The sheath is the weakest part of this package. Limited mounting options and quite uncomfortable.

	good stuff
	so i decided to go on an adventure about a month ago and i brought this knife, i expected it to let me down but it didtn, i actualy needed it more than i needed sunscreen, one night wen i was out, nature was calling and i took it with me, while i was walking back to my site i found a crow tangled in fishing line, i took the knife and cut through not only the line but also the cable leeder, this knife is great!!!
