The Gator Machete wields a 15 inch fine edge blade on one side, a 15 inch high performance saw blade on the other, and Gerber's proprietary Gator rubber grip for ergonomic control while using either. The riveted, nylon sheath provides safe, durable transport.

  Last night we had a tree down blocking a busy road; it was going to take the road department 45 minutes to respond. I had forgotten that this thing had a saw blade on the back and figured it was worth a shot. It was able to cut through three 8-10 inch thick, wet, tree limbs so we could get the road cleared within 15 minutes.

Perfectly Functional
  I carry this machete with me whenever and wherever I go fishing. Since I don't own a boat I tend to pack-up and treck down an unbeaten path. It has helped me gain access to a lot of good water and helped land some impressive meals. It may not look pretty anymore, but it holds and edge and takes one just fine. The saw back is quite handy as well. This gear also has a sturdy construction, so it feels solid with every swing. I don't see myself fishing without it.
