Great axe, awful sheath
  This axe is light weight (only 1 lb), durable and I love the Teflon coated blade. The sheath it comes with (the plastic carrier one)is awful for backpacking! I wish it came with the nylon sheath that's seen with other Gerber axes. Other than that, this is a great axe for backpacking.

Backpack Axe II
  A great axe. Small & sharp. Excellent for cutting kindling, notching or campsite clearing. Fit easily in the side of my pack. The carry case is a little awkward. It could benefit from a better sheath.
